Core Value Award(s)

Our December Pack Meeting was a long one, but very fun!  We played a group game called 'Capture the Santa Hat'.  Two teams were lined up across from each other.  Everyone scout and/or sister/brother on each side was assigned a number.  When our Pack Leader called out a number, the boys assigned to that number on each team would run to the middle and try to capture the santa hat.  Just based on the noise level and screaming, the boys loved it!
Nick or Hunter beat out Aaron for the hat!
This Pack Meeting was also a very special one because two boys from our very own Den were recognized for exemplifying outstanding Core Values!  I happened to be the one that nominated both Connor and Nick because of some things that I observed at our December Den Meeting.  Connor exemplified extreme patience, perseverance, compassion, and a great positive attitude when we were making our tool boxes.  And at that same meeting Nick showed a wonderful compassion for a fellow scout who was having a difficult time.  I was so proud of both of the boys.  It is quite an honor to receive the recognition that they did.  Nick was given a Cub Scout Core Value Token.  Connor received the rotating Core Value Trophy for this month.  He will bring it back to the next Pack Meeting to pass it along to the next award winner!
